WHAT IS HEXFALL?
Hexfall is a turn-based 4X strategy game set after the end of the world. Lead one of six factions out of the ruins — explore procedurally generated hex maps, rebuild cities on the bones of the old world, research your faction's exclusive technology, and fight for every hex of a shattered continent.
It's built for players who love the quick, session-friendly format of games like The Battle of Polytopia but keep wishing the combat had more to say. In Hexfall, combat is fully deterministic — damage is math, not dice. High ground grants real bonuses. Flanking from opposite sides hits harder. Veterans level up and matter. And when you misclick, the undo system lets you take it back — experiment freely, commit deliberately.
SIX FACTIONS, SIX PLAYSTYLES
Shared T1–T3 tech, then exclusive T4 branches that define each faction's endgame.
The Ironclad
Military-industrial attrition. Slow, durable units that grind enemies down — and harvest bonus scrap from every kill.
The Drifters
Nomadic raider-traders. Hit hard, vanish faster — extra movement on wasteland keeps them a step ahead of retaliation.
The Overgrown
Nature reclaiming the ruins. Area denial and self-healing in forests — the terrain itself becomes a weapon.
The Circuits
Tech-rush fragility. Cheaper research races them to devastating late-game units — if they survive the early turns.
The Pyre
Fire-cult aggression. Early rush pressure and debuffs that spread dread through adjacent enemies.
The Enclave
Vault-born turtles. Fortified cities and patient tech ascendancy — crack them if you can.
COMBAT WITHOUT DICE
Every fight is a puzzle you can actually solve.
Zero RNG
Damage is attack minus defense — always. If you can read the board, you can plan three turns deep with certainty.
Elevation & Flanking
High ground grants attack bonuses; converging from opposite hexes deals devastating flanking damage. Position is power.
Veterancy & Retreat
Units earn XP and grow stronger through combat — and wounded veterans can withdraw to fight another turn instead of dying for nothing.
The Undo Button
Undo freely until you attack or end turn. Experiment without punishment — commit when you mean it.
30-Minute Sessions
The 30-turn Reclamation mode delivers a complete strategic arc over a lunch break. Longer modes for longer appetites.
Global Modifiers
Nuclear Winter freezes the map. Rad Storms scar it. Toxic Dead Zones forbid it. Pre-game modifiers reshape every session's rules.
